blind side

We are watching Blind Side and we were at the part where Leanne is reading to SJ and Michael a story and Colins is sitting in the stairway so that her mom can't see, listening and smiling. I burst into tears and said that one day that might be Leah. Then of course I told Julian that I am going to read her stories forever.

new words

Leah has been starting to say some new words....she's got mama, dada, di di, nana, dog, moon (mmmm), cow (ca) ,cat (KAH) and cock. Yes. You have read the last one correctly.

We were at her little 13 month old friend's house. She is a genius....knows like 30 or more words already including some mandarin. Leah hasn't picked up anything she's doing yet....except Kenzie was pointing to the clock and exclaimed, "Cock!" and from the kitchen I hear Leah yelling COCK! That's fun.

Two different friends have made comments recently about how they think Leah will be in high school. One said that she seems like she already has a ton of confidence....and that she thinks Leah will be a popular girl who has a lot of friends but kind of laughs off when she gets into trouble for talking in class. Another friend and I joke that her son is taking Leah to prom in England but then she wrote me a card that said she can't wait for Leah to take Arthur to prom. I tol dher he is taking her. She replied that no one will be able to take her anywhere she doesn't want to go, so wherever it is England or here, SHE will be taking him. That made me laugh.

She's a good girl. She is working on not hitting others. She has been especially clingy to me at home.....she cries a lot when put down.

We tried to take Christmas pictures with my dad dressed up as santa and she melted down like crazy. It was super sad.

Right now we are watching the Office Christmas special and it's awesome. Leah is sleeping in her crib upstairs....she usually wakes up in about 41 minutes.

updates

Well,
Leah's surgery went well and she healed fine. You can barely see her scar. She's such a trouper!!!!

She had her first hair cut yesterday. She looks like a little china doll. It was 20 dollars and the last 20 dollar hair cut we are going to spend on her for a while....that seems like so much and I think they only cut about a teaspoon of hair total! But it was the experience, I suppose. And I did cry. I didn't think I would but as she took the sheers to her little hairs, I just cried because that little girl had that hair from the time she pooped out into this world and then SNIP!. Leah did a great job, though. She didn't cry that much. She sat on my lap.

Of course we hadn't gven her a bath and she had crusties in her hair. Oh well.

Leah's into giving kisses....she's also into hitting other kids. We are working on this.

We joined a co-op preschool that meets Tuesday mornings. We have only gone once (I go with her this year) and she had a blast. I just pick a station and work at that station, but she can venture and go where she wants. She stayed at the fake kitchen station last Tuesday and enjoyed eating the pretend pizza.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I looked at pics from last Thanksgiving and I can't believe how little she was. Where'd that little baby go? Sometimes when she naps I just touch her little hands and kiss them. They are so much bigger than they used to be. And we kiss her little, growing sweaty feet. Where are those little feet going to take you, little girl?

Thanksgiving last year....compared to now...

surgery

Leah's having surgery to remove her cyst tomorrow morning (most likely). It might be moved due to us givng her ib profin for her teething. They never told us we couldn't but then in the pre-surgery phone consultation they seemed concerned about it. Hopefully they can do it and get it over with because we have been staying away from other kids and playgroups, stores, etc so that she doesn't get sick. If she got sick, they wouldn't do it.

Leah's cut 2 new teeth in the last week. She has been hurting! She has 8 teeth now but a lot of them are on the verge of breaking through. Talk about rough nights of sleep for everyone.

She's been walking around and running. She has sucha fun time.

She started saying Dog. Which is said "Ogg! Ogggg!" but it's super cute. She started to find her own nose, lips, and eyes when asked. She discovered how to plug her nostrils which brings her hilarious joy.

walking

Leah walked over 11 steps today....she was WALKING. crazy.

updates

Well, the sleeping has been OK. She will have good nights and bad....She's been falling asleep quickly but getting her to fall back asleep come midnight is not as easy....Some nights she sleeps longer and others not so much. And we are too weak to make her so we just snuggle with her. It's so hard when we go to change her and then she wraps her little arms around your neck so tight and doesn't let go because she just wants to be with you!!! Heart breaker.

Lately we have been having fun at home playing on the new slide that Lola got Leah....and we have bene playing with blocks and she loves breaking down whatever I build. I got her a little drum and we've been playing with it as well...

She said "cat" today. She doesn't repeat words she says but what we've heard thus far has been- mama, dada, nana, di-di (diamond), hi, bye, sauce, cran (crayon), and cat.

It's time to read and put her in her crib. Cross your fingers all goes well.

success????

She fell asleep within 5 minutes....

and last night she slept the whole night through.

cross your fingers it continues.....

sleep training day 3

Well, that first day of sleep training went okay....well, I am not going to lie...it was TERRIBLE. Finally she fell asleep....so we went in there to see her...Well...Julian went first actually, and then he came back and said , "Um...can you please go look at her?" SO I went in and saw that she had passed out STANDING up laying over her crib rail. That about broke our hearts. We tried to lay her down and then she woke up....SO back into her bed she came.

We decided to wait until Friday night to try again...it took an hour and ten minutes and Julian and I were miserable (so was my sister).

Tonight it only took 45 minutes for her to go to sleep. Of course when I went to her room to make sure she hadn't fallen asleep standing up, she was laying down but she woke up. She fell back quickly, though....

I am going ot sneak up and try to put a blankie on her. Let's cross our fingers she doesn't wake up.

asleep

She did it! She's asleep!

We aren't going to sleep train her in the middle of the night until our neighbors are out of town come this weeked.. but this was a good step!

LA, sleep training, and beyond

Well, we went to Los Angeles and had a short yet eventful trip///

drove down on Friday. Saw some girlfriends. Leah started puking Saturday morning....by saturday afternoon we were at the ER with her and she was vomitting all over. By Saturday night we got back to Brandi's....Sunday morning she puked again but we gave her the stop puking pill that the doc said and she was fine. Went to the bbq for a few hours. Got in the car to drive home and I started puking all over....2 hours from home Julian started puking all over.

Julian's mom came to the rescue and came to our house for the last two days (which feels liek a blur to me). She watched Leah while we rested up. Those were the only 2 days she had slept away from us in the last several months.....

So we thought we would try to sleep train her.....Well, Jules went in at 3,5,7,10,10,10,10,10 minutes and she is still howling.

Due to paying respects to our neighbors who share a bedroom wall....and my personal weakness of hearing my child howl in fear, we will try again tomorrow....or the next day. Julian went in all those times because they say that it's easier on them if it isn't the mom (and easier on the mom)....he was a trouper.

Please don't remember this, Leah!!!

it's 3 hours until she turns 1

Oh Little Girl, Happy almost birthday!!!! A year ago today I was in the hospital and nervous and excited to have you. About this time some seriously unpleasant things were happening....they decided to make me dilate, to inflate a balloon near where you were. It was probably the most uncomfortable thing that happened other than the morphine shot to the bum and the contractions....and the revocery. But it was all worth it because we got you! Oh what a year it has been. Dad and I are thinking of our most memorable memories of this year with you:

Your first cry (that dad says you sounded like a little goat), when you used to kick your chicken legs in time with your crying, Your first sneeze in the hospital when we shot up in the middle of the night because we didn't know what happened to you...how you used to snort when you would cry!...the first time you started to show you were excited watching the mobile, the first time you laughed and dad was pretending to drop the doll on you, when you cried in the carride home and were still catching your breath when we got your out of your seat and dad and I both started crying because we were devastated you were so upset... first time you reacted when dad came home from work and all the days after when you'd jump and smile, first day leaving you with Lisa and being miserable..... carrying you in a sling all the time, then carrying you in the ergo carrier every day... the hospital tests to make sure your brain was okay..., making the stink eye, ...how it took over 2 months to get you to eat solid food, making your food...throwing food over your shoulder,... making the diamond in the sky and saying it's a die-die, your fist pumping when you see us....walking around walnut creek, and now living in Foster City. Snuggling with you every night.... kisses....teaching you how to "let me smell your breath" and you open your mouth on our nose....the ET finger....watching you light up and grow.

We love you, little girl. You are the best thing that has happened to us. Happy first bday! Love, Mom and Dad

busy girls

Leah and I have been very busy the last few weeks. I've been doing a workout class in the morning and Leah goes to Lola's. I am trying to rework a schedule so that I can be there for morning naps because she goes down better if she is nursed...then we do a playdate or gymboree in the afternoon, then an afternoon nap, playtime, and julian gets home.

Today we had gymboree at noon and went to someone's house to swim at 1:30...so right now Leah is knocked out and exhausted. If she wakes up before 4:30, another girl with a baby texted me for frozen yogurt....so we may do that.

Tomorrow we are going to get her portraits done. The sitting fee is usually 300 or so, but they waved it because of a promotion.....We are looking to get a big picture of her for hte hallway....my mom did it of both us girls and I would like to if there's a picture that's done that looks nice. After the sitting and naptime, we are going to Central Park in San Mateo because apparently there's a playgroup with mom's of 11-14 month olds that meet there on Wednesdays and we got invited.

Thursday we are going to Walnut Creek and Barb is taking me (us) out for Benihana for a belated bday dinner. I am so excited!

Friday we are having a playdate with our neighbor and her 2 boys.

New things Leah has been doing----I put this on facebook BUT she seriosly looks at her food and if she doesn't liek teh shape, she tosses it over her shoulder. It's hilarious. I need to get it on video and post it. She gives the stink eye now, but less than before....stll throwing up her diamond in the sky and saying DiDi....she has stood unsupported and is starting to walk while holding onto us....

We tried getting her to sleep in her crib but it was a disaster. Right now she is sleeping in her infant swing.

Ok well, that's all I've got for now :)

new friends

We made two new friends...and by we, i guess I mean I did....I joined the Foster City mom's club and there was an ice cream social tonight at 7....two other girls just moved here and they have daughters that are 6 and 7 months old. Leah's a little older, but it doesn't matter....they stay at home too and were excited to exchange numbers so we can get together for a play date/coffee or whatever. The babies have unique names...one is named Lola (like leah's grandma Lola) and the other is Poppy (her name is Paige but goes by Poppy). We are going to meet up with them on Monday. We may see them at the summer picnic on Sunday, too, though. I'm excited to have met a few people to do things with. It's nice because we all live so close together that it will only take 5 months or so to meet up.

Tomorrow we are going to the Oakland Zoo with Kathryn, Liz and Lorelei, and Lisa. It will be a fun day.

gymboree

We had our second time at gymboree and Julian came to see Leah during his lunch break. Leah had a great time....she was starting to interact with the other babies and really likes pushing the air log with the other babies.

We went to our first playgroup in Foster City this evening and it was nice to get to know a few of the moms. I am going to try to go for a little bit each Tuesday night for a bit. Next week, we are going to do a playgroup on Monday too just to try it out.

Our house is coming along although there is still quite a bit to do. I am not stressing out about it though. It will all get done.

Leah has started giving people "the stink eye" and scowling at them. I have to say it's pretty cute but won't be for too long.

foster city

Well, we are moved and now living in Foster City. We are enjoying seeing Julian more, that's for sure.

Julian's mom has been helping us a lot so that we have time to get our house ready, go to the gym, etc. We are very thankful for her.

We joined gymboree today and Leah had a good time there....I am hoping to meet other moms and get some playdates going!

We ordered her first big girl car seat.....she's starting to get too big for her bucket seat and she's almost one so it was time. Plus we got it for 110 dollars off the orginal price because Britax is having a sale or something.

We are having her birthday parties(yes....2 of them) soon. Perhaps we will wrap up the car seat and let her open it since it cost so much!

kisses

Leah started making kiss sounds now. I kiss her and she still gives kisses like babies do where they open their mouth and lean in but after we do the *muah* sound, she works hard to make a smack sound. It's so cute.

She's been biting me HARD. THe other day she bit me and I said firmly, "NO BITING!" and I set her down. My friend was with me and Leah turned and looked at Danielle and started laughing and then just played. Danielle tried not to laugh but was telling me that Leah might end up being quite an awnry little thing. I have to agree with her. Other parents are like, OH just tell her no really firmly and it will work. Um, yeah. Not so much. I have yelled OUCH. I have said NO. I have even tried ignoring. And I have bite marks on my body that are purple. Thank you, Leah.

We took her to the Lindsay Wildlife Museum and saw the bald eagle. She waved bye bye to all the animals there.

She still holds up her diamond in the sky daily....pretty much any song I start to sing, she throws up her diamond at some point.

She's talking a lot more with her mama's and dada's and baba's although I don't know is she knows who is who.....in the middle of the night when she is hungry she yells Mama, so maybe she knows.

I can't believe that she is just about 11 months. Time is flying by.

Right now we are in the midst of packing our apartment. I love Walnut Creek so it will be sad to leave, but a new adventure might be fun :)

10 months

Well, Leah is 10 and a half months. She is speed crawling now, still often with one leg out like a spider. She is also pulling up and standing.

We went to a play group today and she was the most vocal onethere, screaming andpulling up on things. One mom said that she looked like a wild little thing. Oh, little girl...

She started doing hand motions to twinkle twinkle little star which is pretty cute.

Leah has had a lot of doctor's appts in the last 2 months. I haven't blogged about it because I didn't want to answer a lot of questions from people and didn't want to have lots of people tell me what they think I should do....It was too stressful for input. I worked closely with Leah's doctor and got her a neurologist because she was shaking involuntarily. After two brain EEG's and an MRI, they are starting to think it's infant shudder syndrome which isn't a big deal and she will most likely grow out of it. They did find a mass on the bridge of her nose (I asked them to look into it because I felt the bump a few months ago and no one thought it was anything). The MRI showed that it is indeed a mass of some sort but they don't think it is cancerous. It may be attached to her brain so we have a an appt with a neurosurgeon next week as well as with a head and neck surgeon. She may need to have surgery (Well most likely will) which is sucky. They are thinking it is a dermoid cyst. This can apparently have things like hair, nerves, teeth, or be a twin...it's a defect from in utero. How crazy would it be if Leah was supposed to have a twin but it got absorbed in her body. So funny. I am going to ask them to tell me what was inside of her cyst if that's what it is.

Staying at home with her has been so great. I enjoy being with her and taking her to the park...we usually get up in the morning, have breakfast and then go for a walk to the park. We go on the swings and play on the grass...then we walk back and she falls asleep and I leave her in in her stroller and she sleeps about 20 min at home (just enough time for me to make a pb and J sandwich)....then we eat lunch and play in the apt. with her toys. After that we usually go out somewhere either to a friend's house or park or what have you....She takes a second nap around 2:30 and I lay with her to make sure she doesn't fall off the bed (the crib setting is too high and since we are moving, Julian doesn't want to take it down to lower it since he is going to take it down soon anyway)....then she gets up and I feed her again, and we usually go back to the park and play and then come home and make dinner....Then Julian gets home and plays with her, gives her a bath, and it's bed time....

So far being home with Leah is fun...it will be an adjustment when I watch my teacher friends start up the school year.....but for now, this is where I want to be. I felt like I was missing out too much and every day I thought about how I wanted to be there with Leah....I know that no matter whether I work or not, Leah would be fine and turn out well whether with her Lola or if she had to be in daycare--I just want to be the one with her because I don't want to look back and regret the time I didn't have with her and can't get back. Even if I stayed home until she goes to Kinder, I will still be under 30 years old and can have plenty of time teaching...If I end up going crazy, which is entirely possible, then I will work part time or even go back full time....because it won't do Leah any good (or Julian or me) to have a crazy mom. We'll just take it a day at a time. But for now, this day, things are perfect. :)

9 months

Leah started crawling a few days ago. She is so cute and is getting around. At first she looked like a little spider by having one leg up and one bent the whole time...now she can crawl on her knees, though.

Her 3rd tooth popped through and I think the 4th one is coming soon :)

We went to the Tilden Park Pet Farm today. It was fun to see the animals and feed them lettuce. We had a picnic with our friends and their baby. It was a great day:)

2 teeth

Leah is getting her second tooth in. This has not been fun. She was up every single hour last night...and then today she has been super weepy and screaming and upset. We gave her some tylenol and teething stuff and hope this stops soon!

We got her hair in her first pony tail and it looks super cute. I'll have to post a pic later.

play date

We met up with our zzq4z2szz1a (that is leah) playgroup and she played with 6 or 7 babies. She was the only one who didn't want ot put things in her mouth. It was so funny. She has this rabbit that has teether toys (yes, she is teething but other than being fussy and showing teeth, you wouldn't know). So I gave Leah the toy and she just stared at it....then one baby grabbed it ant put it in his mouth and she watched. She took it back but then a few minutes later a little girl took it and put it in her mouth....then 2 others did. When you looked around the circle, they were all grabbing things and trying to knaw on it but Leah just looked at those babies like, "EEEEW. You fools are crazy."

Right now we are watching Kendra (classy) and Julian is feeding the baby some applesauce. She is making noise like ahheyyyyguu ahhhhh.

I cut my hair and have a mom-bob. It was time. I wore the bun every day and couldn't ever do it. So, it's about 4 inches shorter and easier to manage. I am sure it will still be in a bun a lot but at least there is potential to wear it down. When we got to the park for our playgroup picnic, lots of the moms had cut their hair too. I guess it's just the thing to do when you have an 8 month old :)

first tooth

Well, the results were good for Leah and she is fine! I am happy.

My first Mother's Day has been great. Last night we went out with Lola and Grandpa to a steak restaurant. Then this morning I went to Pilates and came back and Julian made me chocolate chip pancakes. Then we went to downtown where I returned something I got about 3 years ago and still got 20 dollars back.

I realized that Leah has her first tooth coming through...there were three little bumps so I felt and it's her tooth. And then....I cried. Not for long though.

Right now I am making dinner and we are just hanging out. It was a great day :)

dr. appt

Well, today we took Leah for a brain scan because the doctor wants to make sure she is not having seizures. I am sure it will turn out okay but it was pretty sad to watch her all sad-faced. They had us try to kee her up until midnight an then up at 5am....she ended up going to bed around 11pm bc she couldn't stay awake any longer....then today she fell asleep sitting up. At the appt, she had 27 little electrodes hooked up to her head and they wrapped her head in gauze. She was crying and it was so sad but she did look so cute. We will find out her results by Monday they said..... Prayers and good thoughts are welcome, but I have a feeling that things are okay so don't worry.

We did take pics of her on our phones and I'll have to find a way to upload them...

Food!

Leah still doesn't care for solid foods...we have tried rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, sweet potatoes, bananas, avocado, apple sauce with banana, and I just made some more apple sauce.

Today we went to Pixieland and she rode on the carousal. Yesterday she rolled over about 12 times which is a change bc she didn't before. Oh, she is waking up and wants to play. Got to go.

a big congrats to Kelly who is having Lauren as we speak and to Paige who found out she is having a little girl in late August. Leah can't wait to play with your little girls :)

yum yum

Well, today I made her some sweet potatoes....My only regret is they aren't organic. At first I said I didn't want to use them (Julian went out and got them for her at lunch time which was very nice of him) but then he told me that I was being ridiculous pretty much. So I just scrubbed those suckers and then made her the first batch of baby food.

Rice cereal was a waste. It's so adorable to watch her with it, though. When the spoon comes towards her she shuts her mouth tight and closes her eyes. Then we get the occasional swat and splatter.

Leah has been sitting up and playing with toys a lot more lately. It's very cute.

We'll see how the sweet potatoes go tomorrow.

solids

Well, we did NOT start them this weekend....because when it came down to it, we just weren't ready! We bought the rice cereal and were prepared to start but then I just wasn't ready to start feeding her real food yet....so we will revist it next weekend. Julian agreed with me too. We DID buy a baby cook that steams and purees the food for when I make her baby food at home. I am excited about it.

This weekend I had Julie's first bachelorette party with Sarah and we had a blast. It was the longest that I had been away from Leah and I really missed her, but it was still a very fun weekend! We went to a Tranny show and to a day spa for massages and facials.

Next weekend we are going to a baby sign intro class at Pam's. I am excited!

Leah is still sick...but she is getting much better. She screams bloody murder when we suction her. It's about her least favorite thing ever.

Leah is still not fee

6 months

Leah is almost half a year old! I cannot believe how fast it is going!!!

She has been sick with RSV and bronciolitis for 8 days now. She had a fever and would cough up so much snot....she is better now! Julian and I were with her for the first 4 days and then when we went to work her Lola watched her for the last 3 and helped her get better. She is still sick but much better. Julian's mom lives w us for half the week so we don't have to put Leah in daycare. We are very grateful for her.

We arestarting solids this week! Probably we will start this weekend with rice cereal!

swimming

Today Leah went swimming for the first time. We went to an open swim with our friends Pam, Rhys, and Loz. Rhys has been doing swim lessons for some time now because Pam stays at home with him.

The pool was at someone's house and it had a huge bubble over it. Julian said it reminded him of ET. Anyway, the pool was really warm and was a salt water pool which is better for the babies. I played with her in the water and she kicked along. It was so cute. Then Julian came in the pool too and we learned how to safely put her under water....He did the honors first by blowing in her face until she breathes all the way in and then put her under water....I did it after. She wasn't scared at all! I think we were more nervous! It was a fun memory.

Tomorrow is Julian's 27th birthday. We are going to spend some time just the three of us and then his parents are coming over to say hi and we are going out to dinner/watching the superbowl.

Happy birthday, Julian! Love you!

vaccines

Well, I am learning that I shoudln't say that I will never do something because I keep adding things to my list of things I said I'd never do as a mother....now added to the list: questioning the vaccine schedule. It's a personal thing and I know can be quite controversial and so each person needs to do what they feel is best for their child. I have been getting Leah vaccinated at the rate that the doctors reccommend but have been reading about the high level of aluminum toxicity in the shots and may think about spreading the shots out a bit. She'd still get them all but just in less potent forms. I am most concerned about the MMR vaccine which is rec when she is 1. That is the one that a lot of people think contributes to autism (which may or may not be credible) I am looking into delaying that vaccine until she is at least 2. Given that she is a breastfed baby and probably will be until she is 18 months or so (we'll see about that but that's my present goal) tied with the fact that she's not in daycare, it is ok. Again, it's a personal choice and Julian and I will make the decision for what's best for Leah after careful thought and research and talking with Leah's doctor. Of course if anyone has actual research about the issue, I would be happy to read it. I just don't want people telling us what to do because it gets annoying. My parents did a great job of hearing me talk about it and said that they know we will do what's best for Leah. Of course if everyone doesn't vaccinate, then things could get bad in the US but we aren't considering NOT vaccinating...just delaying the schedule. There are books written about this and I have checked one out from Dr. Sears that has an alternative schedule that is supposed to be better for their little bodies.

Today my parents came from sacramento and had lunch with us. It was nice to see them, but Leah started crying everytime my dad looked at her. It was hilarious. I have no idea why she was so scared haha. My dad just cracked up. I think he scared her bc he laughed really loud when he saw how chubby she is getting and she got mad at him.

Leah is crying and needs to eat. Ok over and out.

sleep??

Well, Leah woke up every single hour last night....It might have been because I left during her bedtime to go to a yoga class or it could have been growth spurts, hungry, etc...who knows. I was tired this morning though!!

She just got her bath and now I am going to hold her for a bit. It's hard only seeing her for an hour a day. I got home at 6:00 bc I had a 3 hour dentist appt after work. Ugh. I can't wait to stay at home with her!!!

staying home...just for a day

Well, Friday sucked and the kids were awful. They didn't listen to me hardly at all and I left very frustrated....so I thought about it over the weekend and I decided to stay an extra day at home this week with Leah and just enjoy her. I spend too much time with other people's kids and not enough with my own, so I am going to start taking days off to be with her...I'll prob take 2 in March and a day in May and then a day whenever I need it for my own sanity. There are 97 school days left. The worst thing that can happen is they get mad that I am taking days and fire me. Then I get to stay home with Leah even more! :)

Tomorrow we are going to gymboree at 12:30 with a few girls from my mommy group. They go each Monday and I don't get to go so we are going. I am super excited :)

This weekend I actually did a few things for myself which felt nice. I got my eyebrows waxed on Saturday and then I went to a yoga class at Lululemon today. After that I got a few things
at sephora including nail polish and I painted my nails for the first time since Leah was born. Doesn't sound like a lot but it was nice.

Right now, Julian is playing with her with Sophie her giraffe and she is laughing a lot. She thinks it's just the funniest thing besides her Daddy.

I am off to grade some papers so I feel less guilty for staying home tomorrow :)

big day

Today Leah slept in her bed for naps and didn't need to be rocked to sleep! Let's just hope that she can continue it into the night. Julian keeps going in to check her and she's been ok for about 15 minutes already and hasn't cried so maybe she will go to sleep on her own. It might just be Julian's mom's touch though....let's see what happens :)

A girl from high school went into labor today and I got all excited just because I remember being there not so long ago. I even was a little jealous of her for some reason. Not a lot but just like awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. It was such a special time. I am happy that we are where we are now though because I love how much Leah trusts me now and her little personality and I love that it's easier to figure out what she needs, etc.

Tomorrow we have baby sign language class :) I swore I wasn't going to do it but then I just added it to a list of things I said I wouldn't do. I think it is going to be really good.

She is in the room babbling to her stuffed rabbit that Bri got her. She just loves that little one.

oops

Today I went to pump in the storage closet like usual....and it was time to go bc the bell rang so I packed up everything, secured the milk, put away the pump parts, etc. I headed out on my way to go get my kids. I forgot one thing...well, I mean two things (literally). I forgot to fix my shirt so there I walked out the office with my top not on right and my bra out completely. Luckily I was just in the office and my friend saw but geez, I can't believe that happened!

Could have been worse I suppose!

Leah rolled over from her tummy to her back the other day for the first time. She's been laughing too. I just love her.
