25 weeks

Well, the doc appt went well....no diabetes goin on here!

I had another appt. today about my blood pressure. They gave me a monitor and I check it every day and some nurse is supposed to call me every Tuesday at 5 to get all my readings until I pop the baby out.  Fantastic.

The baby should weigh almost a pound and a half now.  She has hair (well, I don't know for sure BUT if she does it would  have pigment to it now....so who knows)...hopefully she is putting some fat on her.  Apparently her nostrils have started to open and she's starting to prepare for breathing....and this stimulates her teeny lungs so that's good.  In the next couple days her brain activit will begin for her visual and auditory systems.

I have started to waddle.

24 weeks belly

My belly button is stretched completely flat.  A little girl at school (maybe 3rd or 4th grade) came up to me today and asked, "Is there a baby in your belly?" and I looked down at her and sweetly said, "No, honey... I am just really fat."  She just said "Oh...okay" and then I told her the truth because I felt bad.

Wednesday puts me at 24 weeks preg.  I will write after my doc appt tomorrow. :)

23 weeks

OKAY J.P. here is the update!!

So I am almost 6 months pregnant.  I hit my third trimester mid June and so that is exciting!  The baby is moving around a lot...I feel like a whale but I know I'll get twice as big, so I should enjoy where I'm at.  Each week that passes feels like a milestone because soon the baby will start to have a survival rate in case she is born early.  It is a 10-40% that she would live if born this week (which obviously I don't want to happen and don't think it will....but on this site that I am a member of, women are starting to go into labor or their water breaks and they go on bedrest.   In case u want to see that survival rate thing, there's one of the things I saw... http://www.meriter.com/living/preemie/survivalnew/survival.htm   I think it's CRAZY that medicine is so advanced that people can have babies at only 6 months and there's a chance they can live.

I have been waking up hungry again (like the first trimester...needing snacks in the middle of the night).

Apparently her lungs are starting to develop more which is def. good.

She is (according to the site) still almost a foot and weighs a little over a pound...like if you hold a mango it says (for weight).

I have my gestational diabetes test on Wednesday...which would REALLY suck if I get it...SO i am going to make sure to go eat all my candy now in case they say I can't have it anymore then it's not in my house.  Off to eat a pack of cherry sour straws!

Over and out.

22 weeks

5 and a half months down!

The baby is apparently 11 inches long now (according to my babycenter site...but who knows) and is getting close to a pound.  I ca def feel her moving and kicking and still like it.  I bought a bunch of cute girl clothes and surprisingly Julian was cool with them (me getting them and the fact that they weren't superman outfits or other boy stuff)...

The Swine flu hit my schools area and I never was freaked out about it. I WAS hoping that we'd get shut down though...the school down the street did and then today, there's a kid that might have it! But the district/county have decided that schools can remain open.  Damn it.  Oh well, summer is in 26 school days anyway.

One thing I didn't know happened during preg. is itchy upper body due to expansion...it is SO annoying.  Lotion helps a little bit...

My cousin's baby boy is due in a week or 2...it will be interesting to see them do the test run for us. (it will prob just freak me out).

Newest craving- vanilla frozen yogurt with m and ms blended in...like a mcflurry. It will be my 3rd straight day of eating it today.  I can't wait.
