21 weeks

Well, i can definitely feel the baby moving a lot now.  Julian has even felt her from the outside.  It is always really exciting.

I got a 2 for 1 practically at a 3d ultrasound place....so I did my first one and will do my second one after 28 weeks (when she gets fatter).  I will ask Julian to scan the pics for me so I can upload them.  They are a little freaky but still cute because she's my baby!  She was hiding behind the placenta for most of the time so it was hard to get shots, but it was amazing ot see how much bigger she looks in just over a week.  She was sleepy this time too....last time she was bouncing all over, but this time she just chilled out and kicked me.  The trick for ultrasounds is Orange Juice.  Having it with you makes it so that the baby perks up within a minute or so....she started to move a bit after that.  She looks just like a baby but is very skinny....the ext 3d ultrasound she will be chubbier which will be so cute!

She's about 10.5 inches long now and about 3/4 of a pound.  She's as long as a long carrot.

I am getting bigger and bigger....I will post a new belly shot soon.

ok....so the first one shows her female parts.  Shannon asked how you can tell it's  girl...you look for the three white lines between the legs.  Many people get confused because the top of the picture is my placenta or uterus or something, not part of the baby....below it look for the "i'm a girl" thing written....and across from that is her you know what.  Then her legs are on the outsides...the next three are her profile shots. She is laughing or something in the second pic. I think she looks like a little cartoon character in that one... Anyway, there you go!

It's A.....

"It's a girl....buy some pink shit!"

We were laying there....after I had coughed and peed my pants (not uncommon these days) and the ultrasound tech was searching all around....The baby was SUPER active...holding her feet and rolling...Then she starts plunging at me side...like mounts her feet on my right side and then shoooots off until her head hits my left side. She did that over and over.  Now I know what slight thing I have been noticing  in my left side has been....There were a few between the legs shots and we kept saying, "I don't see anything" But then she eventually got the shot that showed the girl's anatomy as we shall call it.  She said that it's def a girl....I kept saying, "Are you sure? I mean, is it going to come out with a penis?" and she said for sure girl.  Julian is stressed out but happy too.  I'm really excited!

TODAY

First things first....I have bronchitis and finally got medicine.  So that's good.

Next, We find out if the baby is a boy or girl today!!!!!!!  Stay tuned!

18 weeks

Starting tomorrow I am 18 weeks pregnant....The baby is the size of a bell pepper and everything is continung to form...the ears have moved to their right place, but his/her skin is still transparent but will start to thicken more later.

I got food poisoning AGAIN but the doctor said not to worry about it.  It might just be a virus or something, but he said that the baby is fine.  The waking up and getting ridiculously sick sucks.

I find out if the baby is a boy or girl next Tuesday....so if you have a guess, you have a week to finalize it......I still am going with boy and Julian is still praying it's not a girl haha.  He says it's the teenage years that he thinks of or Maddy from Jon and Kate plus 8- and that would scare me too if she turned out like that.

Cravings have been mostly fruit...although I have been eating a lot more pickles than every before.  I also crave this particular teriyaki bowl and burrs fountain turkey sandwiches and milkshakes.  Chicken has been a no-no for the most part...I never thought that chicken would be something I'd hate....but that's getting better. I think I might even get chicken in my noodle bowl next weekend.

17 weeks

Well, the baby is supposedly the size of a turnip.  I have never actually seen a turnip, but that's it's food comparison for the week!  Someone asked me if the baby has arms and legs and I started to laugh because it's pretty much just all formed (but everything needs to develop) but I forget that I didn't really have a clue as to how early this stuff happened before i was preg.  I guess the sweat glands are starting to form...

I had food poisoning last weekend....and let me tell you that it SUCKED.  I am still a little dehydrated from that experience, but at least it is done.

I should start to feel the baby this week or next week.  That is exciting.  There have been times (including as I have written this) that I wonder if I feel it...and I think it might be it...just feels like a twitch inside over and over at different times.  I really hope that he/she isn't a huge kicker....and I hope that they like to sleep when their mom likes to sleep.  And then i hope that they continue to just be good sleepers their whole life!  I can dream, right?

I think I already said that I was thinking of staying at home with the baby, but that changed. So I am going back to work, but not starting the school year (i may go for the first week, but then a sub will take over until december)....

No results from the genetic screening yet.  I say no news is good news.
